RECONNECTING MEDIA IN FINAL CUT PRO
- Drag
and drop your project file from your ONID account to the desktop. Close
ONID window.
- Double-click
project file to launch FCP
- Note
missing offline files. Ignore missing render files. > OK

- Hide
FCP
- Go to
class folders via Fetch (or wherever you stored your media) and drag and
drop missing offline files to Desktop
- Re-activate
FCP. Hold down the Command (Apple) key and select each missing file in the Browser window and the Sequence icon.
- Select
File > Reconnect Media
- Select
the following Reconnect Options > OK

- In
Reconnect window, do the following:
(1) Select
Desktop
(2) Note the
file FCP is looking for
(3) Select the
file that matches
(4) Make sure
Reconnect All Files in Relative Path is checked
(5) Choose
TROUBLESHOOTING – If an offline file is not on the desktop
(or in a folder on the Desktop such as the Capture Scratch folder), you won’t
be able to re-connect. Select the “Skip File” button. Hopefully, it is not a
crucial file in your timeline that you have lost!!
