Scanning Pictures using the flatbed scanner

You are no longer able to scan directly from Photoshop. Instead you must use the Epson Scanning Software to scan, then import into Photoshop.

Here are the instructions to scan a photo using the flatbed scanners:

1.)From the Dock, Right Click on the Applications Icon, Select All Applications, And Launch Epson Scan.

2.)Once Epson Scan has launched, Go to the Mode drop down tab and select home mode.

3.)Once in Home mode, Select the document type that you are trying to Scan. Ex. Photograph, Text, Negatives.

4.) When you have selected a document type, you may now hit Preview. FYI - You can't hit scan unless you hit Preview first. While inside the preview screen you may edit the picture by cropping it or rotating it to the postion you desire. Once you are ready to scan your document, you may hit the scan button.

5.) Once you hit scan you'll be prompted to name and select a destination for your document. Also you can select which file type you would like to save it as. Ex. Jpeg, PNG.

You are now ready to use the Epson Scan Software!!!
