How to connect to the ONID fileshare on MacsHere are the instructions to connect to the ONID fileshare on Macs: The method for connecting to your ONID account on the Macs has changed slightly, and a couple steps have been added. This process is also applicable to mounting from the other servers.
1. While you have the Finder menu at the top, go to Go > Connect to Server (or Apple + K)
2. Select the server labeled: smb://onid-fs.onid.orst.edu
3. As you may notice, your fileshare is not initially listed in the dropdown box. In order to select it, you must first click the Authenticate button, not the OK button
4. Enter your user name and password as usual and click the OK button.
5. As you can see, your fileshare (named after your user name) is now available to choose. Select it and click the OK button.
You can now access your files on your ONID account as you used to be able to. You unmount your ONID fileshare the same way you used to, by dragging it to the trash/eject icon. |
