Burning an Audio CD on a MacintoshNote: It is illegal to duplicate copyrighted material.1) Place a CD-RW or blank CD-R in the drive. (Note: the eject button is located at the upper right-hand corner of the keyboard.)
2) A dialogue box (as shown above) will prompt you to select an application with which to burn the CD. Select Open iTunes and click OK.
3) iTunes will present the above instructions for burning a CD using playlists. This is what you are going to do. Click OK and create a playlist with the plus button at the lower left-hand corner of the window. The name of the playlist isn't important because it won't be recorded on the CD.
4) At this point you can drag MP3, AAC, WAV, and AIFF files from the iTunes Library or anywhere else on the computer to the playlist. This playlist will become the contents of your CD. You can also click and drag songs to a preferred order.
5) When you're ready to commit the session to disc, go to the File menu and click Burn Playlist to Disc.
6) Click on the flashing nuclear symbol to burn. If you don't do this within a few seconds, iTunes will disable the burn button. Should this occur, simply go back to Step 5. |
